Answer: Try looking on the website called www.skyauction.com they have lots of deals that leave from NY
Question: Know where to find good travel deals? I would like to find some good travel deals for cruises, the Atlantis hotel, Los Angeles, NYC, and Vegas and some cheap flight deals. Please say something other than expedia, orbitz, etc. I don't find many good deals on there. How do I find a travel agency in my area.
Answer: Try, www.priceline.com, www.cheapoair.com, www.onetravel.com, www.travelocity.com.These are few good sites to get best travel deals.
Question: Family Cruise? I'm looking to go on a crusie with my family that is a reasonable price. It will be Me, my wife, and our 2 year old son. We are looking for Flight plus cruise deals. What are some good agent, web sites that might help. I check out the cruise site but they didn't include flight deal. Help me out please.
Answer: Go to 'Carnival' Cruises, they have great deals, and go different places. For like 4 people its roughly like 300-400 dollars which isnt bad.
Question: Is June a bad time to go to the Caribbeans on a cruise because of hurricanes? Where can i get the best deals? I want to plan a cruise... if not the caribbeans.. what other place is good for a cruise vacation for 5-9 nites at a rate of around $700-800 with flight from San Francisco, CA
Answer: No. Hurricane season starts in June, but there are not many hurricanes at this time. Most active months are August-October. Your cruise will be alerted of any storms & it will not sail into a hurricane. They will re-direct the cruise to go around it or they will re-schedule. Plus you should get good deals, b/c this is 'Low Season' in the caribbean. Most people come during the winter to escape the cold. I think its a good time to go. Enjoy!
Question: If your a travel agent or had an experience traveling for some many times help plz!? Ok so if i have spare time and money ofcourse lol, i would love to travel with my bf and family but does anyone of you have an idea where i can find a good deal on cruise and flights for every part of the country and the world? as in the cheapest goood deals?
Answer: Well, it depends on where you live, and how much money you have to spend. I personally use priceline.com, you can come up with an amount that you are comfortable with. It can sometimes save you hundreds of dollars. You can book the flight, hotel, car rental, and tickets to events all at once there. Its really easy to use, and quick too.
Question: Alaska cruise for a good price? My husband and I really want to go on an Alaskan Cruise. We live close to Seattle, so we can leave from there and not have to spend money for a flight. But we are low on extra cash and would like to know if there are any good websites or any ideas that can help us get a really good deal. Any travel secrets out there?
Answer: Princess.com or 1-800-Princess is having a 2 for 1 sale right now. They are having a special on both cruises & cruise/tours. Out of Seattle they only offer 7 day cruises but, well worth every penny.
Holland is also having a sale but, they are alittle more expensive.
The selection you make on a cabin will effect your cost.
Inside Cabin - cost the less
Ocean view - cabin with either a port hole or window
Balcony - most expensive.
If you do not intend to spend alot of time in your cabin then save with an inside cabin.
An AMAZING cruise with GREAT Scenery & Wildlife.
ENJOY.
Question: Me and my best friend want to go on a cruise for our sweet 16? Our birthdays are 2 days apart, hers is december 10 and mine's the 12th, and we want to go on a cruise for our sweet 16 this year like a couple days after christmas and get back in early january 2009. The thing is she lives in VA and I live in NC so we were thinking of flying(or maybe driving...could take a while) to Florida where a lot of cruises take off. But we don't know which cruise line to take, probably Carnival or Royal Caribbean but neither of us has been on a cruise before. Is there a deal where you can book a flight and a cruise? And who should come with us since we'll only be 16? My mom and her mom or both of our parents? We don't want the cruise to be that long, like probably 6 nights or under and we also want it to be affordable but not have it feel like its a cheap vacation. Any advice from cruisers?
Answer: My sweet 16 is actually today and I got back from a cruise on yesterday. I cruised on Carnival Imagination. It was a 5 night out of Miami and we went to 3 different places in the Eastern Caribbean. It was so fun!! I highly recommend it. It is a perfect length, not too short not too long. I would recommend going with both moms. That way if you guys want to go do something alone the moms have each other. There are tons of things to do. Cruises are amazing. You could probably do either one or two rooms. There is actually lots of room to put your clothes once you unpack. So if you want to save some money you could get only one room. There is plenty of space. Good luck with your choice! I would recommend Carnival. It is slightly less fancy, I believe it is slightly cheeper, there are tons of teen activities (Club 02) and it is warm and lots of fun!!
Question: Has anybody been on a cruise out of San Juan? We are looking at a Carnival Cruise that leaves out of San Juan in April of 2009. We have enough air miles to get 2 free tickets so the flight there and back is not a big deal.
The cruise goes to a port everyday- which we like. I was just wondering if there was anything else that I needed to know about going on a cruise out of San Juan. Is it harder to get through customs and stuff or about the same? I've been on 2 cruises out of Port Canaveral.
The cruise goes to St. Kitts, St. Lucia, Dominica, Barbados, St. Thomas, and Antigua - Are these all good ports- I want to know all about them! We are looking at shore excursions for several of the ports (zip lines, horseback, snorkeling, etc...) If you know of any good ones let me know!
It is on the Carnival Victory. This is a new cruise iteniary for this ship so I couldn't find much about it on cruise critic
THANKS
Answer: I have sailed 2 times out of San Juan and had no problem with customs what so ever... I have also visited all the ports that you mention with the exception of St kitts.... Dominica and St Lucia are very lush island they are good for out doorsey type of things like hiking etc... Barbados was just beautiful we took an island tour then ended up at Malibu beach its located where the make Malibu coconut rum... in st thomas we visited megans bay and the snorkling was good there the beach is absolutley beautiful but I plan to visit trunks bay in st johns next time and in antigua we went to pineapple beach resort and paid 50.00 for a day pass and everything was included all food drinks alcholic(top shelf) and non use of all the resort amenities it was awesome...
Question: Cheapest time to purchase a cruise.? Im looking for a Western Caribbiean Cruise for 4 adults. (All paying separate) for 7 days.
When would be a great time to purchase a cruise to get the cheapest deal? Im looking for one during the first or second week in Sept of 07.
Should we get 2 smaller rooms or a 4 person suite?
Which place should I purchase; Orbitz, Travelocity, Etc; Travel Angency; or the actual cruise website?
I want to purchase the flight seprate so that it is cheaper (Flying out of Chicago). How would I get from Orlando, Fl to Port Canaveral, Fl. (About an hour drive I know, but no idea how I would do that.)
Any suggestions, personal experiences, or ideas would be appreciated.
So far I have found a Carnival cruise for 399.00 which is not bad at all.
Answer: Check out www.vacationstogo.com for some deals.
You can search by departure port, month, cruise line ,etc.
You get a cheaper rate per person if you book the 4 person cabin. However, they cabins are very small and the bathrooms are even smaller than hotel rooms. Can the 4 of you share a room/bathroom without ending your friendship. Also, in the 4 person cabins, there are likely going to be upper and lower bunk type beds. Most adults don't dig sleeping in the upper bunks.
Remember, the price you see on most of the websites don't include port taxes and other fees. These can run up to $100 per person. Also, tipping is not "optional" on the Carnival line. They add this fee to your bill the moment you step on the ship. $10/per day/per person. $70 per person on a 7-day cruise.
Check out possible shuttle services. For example, there is a shuttle that picks you up at Hobby Airport in Houston and takes you to the Galveston cruise terminal.
Prices generally go down closer to the cruise date but you risk not being able to get a cabin if they sell out. We booked early this year since we are traveling during Spring Break week.
You can also saving money by booking your own excursions. You can research on the web or even just hop off the port in port and many of the indepent operators have booths or signs at the dock.
Bar drinks can run $4-12 each. Photos can run $10-20 each. Bingo, spa are extra.
Get a box of the XXL Ziploc bags that are about 3 foot tall for taking home yucky, sandy clothes.
If you want to control your spending on the cruise, place a cash deposit instead of using a credit card. The cruise will cut you off from charging once you have reached your deposit. You can add more cash money to your account later...but getting a $2,800.00 credit card bill at the end of the cruise can be a shocker since Carnival makes it so easy to Sign N Sail....
Take US Dollars in 5 and 10s when shopping in the Mexican markets. It is ok to bargain. If the vendor asks for $50, offer $30.
5's are good to have went using local taxis.
Don't book your return flight home too early. De-barkation can be a hassle. Last cruise, we were 2 hours late getting to port because of a storm.
Don't pack too much luggage...you still have to carry it through customs.
Question: Which is the better way to book? I'm looking at booking my first real cruise! We did an "overnighter" from Stockholm to Helsinki and it was great -- so thought we'd try another.
We're actually quite experienced travelers, but this is new waters (pun intended).
Is it a better deal to go through a site like Expedia and book the flights and cruise at the same time, or use the cruise ships own websites?
We're looking at one that leaves from Cape Canaveral, Fla.
TIA!
To "X-Pert" ... grow up.
Answer: I use www.cruisecompete.com
This website shops the best prices for you!
