Cruises Package Deals
Question: Alaska: Can you share your experience on living there or your extended stay? We fell in love with Alaska during a cruise, and are very much wanting to make the drive out (from Alberta) for a 2 week holiday. We'd love to stay in Glacier Bay for a few days, so anyone who has stayed there and can share their experience would be awesome! Also, possibly looking at staying in the Kanai River area or revisiting Ketchikan. This time, we really want to experience Alaska and appreciate it for all it's beauty and nature. We have seen some all inclusive package deals for approx $4000.00pp and wondered if anyone had any comments on that kind of thing. We would be taking our 3 boys with us who are under 12. Thanks so much!
Answer: Well It depends on when you are going to come here...I live in Ketchikan and I say if you want to come here it is best to do it when the cruises are here cause everything is open. If you like it more quiet and not so hassle and Bessel then come when the cruises are not here, it is very quite then and only a few main stores open at the time
Question: where should i go on my senior trip? i have $1200 to spend and i live in the wine country. i was thinking a cruise because its a package deal and the only thing i can think of within my price range. anyone knows how to get really really cheap flights i might be able to do something else. let me know
to answer the first question: i live in Santa Rosa, CA. its about an hour from Napa (the city) and sonoma. just as many vineyards here and im tired of it, so im looking for something different.
Answer: Its got to be another country. There is no more mind-opening destination... if you're already in california, what about south america? Argentina is cool. Plane tickets aren't the huge obsticle that people think if you look really hard and are flexible about your travel dates/times. try priceline and yahoo travel, the two cheapest sites I know. You can set Yahootravel up to give you reports on rates to cities you are interested in... I always have it check rome and london for me. My friends and I spent a week in London once for under $500 a person (ticket $350, hotel $50ish in a B&B, food was the rest). If you can manage Europe, once you get there its dirt cheap and relatively safe. You can buy a Eurorail pass here and travel anywhere inside Europe as much as you want (If you travel overnight, no need for a hotel!)
Enjoy! Take risks! You won't have this chance again!
Question: Does anybody know good deals on 7-day vacations to Cancun? We are trying to find either a 7-day cruise or a 7-day stay in Cancun. We are interested in those packages where you can get passes to clubs and stuff like that.
Answer: i just got back from Cancun yesterday! Do the 'stay' instead of the cruise..i have done both, several times, and enjoy staying on land much better. Usually we leave which ever resort we are staying at to go enjoy night life and shopping, but this time we stayed at RIU Cancun and didn't leave the resort (only once for a snorkeling excursion). There was so much to do and enjoy at RIU and its all inclusive! Call your local travel agent and ask her/him for some good rates on Cancun trips-they can help you out the best. Have fun!!
We went through "worry free vacations" and they took care of everything! They take care of you!"
Question: Good warm vacation spots, any suggestions?? I am going to go on a sister vacation. away from our kids, just me and sis for first time. She is thinking Vegas, thinks we can get a good package deal. I am thinking more, warm beach tropical type. No cruise, ships scare me. Not looking for luxury, just a nice enjoyable time with my sister in a beautiful tropical surrounding. Thanks a million.

Question: best price on maui zipline? Need to find a good deal on ziplining in Maui. Have a family of 6, cant find it less than $70 each. Anyone know of a more economical way? Or a package deal that has a luai/zipline/snorkel/dinner cruise?
Answer: HI, couldn't find any discount coupons on www.entertainmentbook.com at all for this one. You can sometimes look at www.craigslist.com for people selling tix or coupons or packages on activities on the island. The online discount give you a few bucks off but you prob already found that. Here it is again anyway just in case. Have fun!

just 4 the record if n-e 1 else answers......me and my fiance 2 be arent the ones that owe the child support..its our fathers who are important parts of the wedding and if we opted 4 a cruise we wanted to know....

Answer: 1. I had my wedding on a Friday night, and it worked out fine. Traffic wasn't bad, and everyone made it alright, because I had it at 7pm, so everyone had time to get off of work and get dressed.
2. We had our reception at the Ritz-Carlton, sounds fancy but it wasn't really. It was decent and we only paid $300 for the night. We got there at around 8:30 and we didn't leave till 3am.
3. I think they are great. I would have had mine in my (future) in-laws place, but we got married in Dec.
4. I think Bachelor/ette Party's are dumb. I went out with a couple of close friends and we had a few drinks and went to my place and watched movies. My now husband went to his friends place and played video games all night and had drinks. Neither of us got too drunk, because we didn't want to feel like crap on our wedding day. We both had fun with out the strippers.
4. Don't know the answer to that, but there are plenty of places to go here in the US. We went to Colorado Springs and had alot of fun. We fished, went shopping, and just hung out. But since you already live in Michigan, I would go to Hawii or somewhere warm.
Question: IMTN - International Model and Talent Network - Help help, i need advice!!? It's my first time dealing with type of thing and i'm really interested but i'm not sure if it'd be worth my time and money.. What should i do?
Answer: Run away. IMTA is a scam and not for beginners.

Question: A man dies in prison because of viewing child porn. Is this fair? Look below.? A 57 year old teacher will die in prison for 20 images of child porn on his computer. Is this too harsh?
The man's credit card number led authorites to him when he bought the images. In Arizona, where the man lives, the automatic sentence is 10 years for each image to be served consecutively.
If there were no people like this person to buy the images, there would be no market for people who were going to produce them and subject the children to the kind of abuse that goes along with it.
Still, is this a bit much or do you think its fair?

kiddy-porn is a despicable crime, worthy of life imprisonment. this, i believe is just because this person does not belong back in society where he could possibly harm children. this way, the threat of his deviant behavior is over.

Society has a right to protect itself but within boundaries of reason. Ten years per image on what grounds other than the image itself? If a KKK member has pictures of a lynching that is found should he be given a life sentence for each image because we are afraid of what he MAY do? If I catch you looking at a Playboy magazine should I put you away for ten years for every image because you MAY rape someone? You stole a cookie out of the jar when your mom wasn't looking, she should have cut off your hand because you MAY have thought of a life of crime. Child porn is SICK and the penalty should be harsh but not a life sentence because of crimes you MAY commit. Wasn't that a Tom Cruise movie?

i think its fair, because what is he doing with child porn anyway?? children are helpless and people are just taking advantage of them . he deserves to die in prison.

This isn't really about a crime that he "MAY" commit. He possessed child porn which is punishable by law ,and we as adults no that it isn't right to posses such vulgar material. He already committed the crime, so he should be punished. On that note: Life in Prison in my opinion is a bit harsh. He didn't hurt or kill anyone, so should his life be taken away? We are given standards to follow as a society to meet the norms and expectations as "Americans", so if people just followed the rules then these discussions wouldn't really be a concern. Another way to look at this question would be the statistical aspect. On average, how many pedophiles eventually turn into molesters? Or how many child molesters view child porn? Finding those numbers could be a direct reflection on the amount of years one serves in prison for possessing child porn. One may accidentally download the material trying to access adult porn which is perfectly legal and our legislatures probably take this info into consideration when making the laws. In this case the man purchased a package deal on purpose and it wasn't an accident!

Answer: That's outrageous- he shouldn't even be in jail in the first place.
Yes kiddie porn does cause harm to the children who are abused, but I bet that level of harm is not equivalent to 10 years in jail.
Question: Suggestions for travel locations for female traveling alone... Many of the 'deals' on travel packages are for 2 people, so as a single I would have to pay more. Same thing with cruises. Looking for interesting, safe, fun places to travel that I can go by myself and not break the bank.
Michael - LOVE the Kerala Houseboat tours, I'm totally going to do this - but not really an "alone" activity. Much more 'couple' oriented. But I'm very grateful for this resource.
Answer: I strongly disagree with the suggestion of India and think you should be very cautious of that. An over-populated country with a unique and different lifestyle where you do not speak the language is dangerous, especially at night. Able to spot you as a foreigner, men may take advantage of that- I would never travel to India alone.
I spent a year in Russia in high school and while a good experience I would not be comfortable there alone and view India as an even greater cultural difference.
I suggest Ireland. I love Dublin- it's an amazing city with plenty of green space. Don't forget a jacket though, it's chilly.
And I live in Austin, which is near New Braunsfels and tubing on the river is fun, a good group activity- but not so much by yourself.
