Question: Is priority seating available at the Disney Cruise Line? Im planning a land/sea vacation at Disney. I see there are several restaurants and I'm wondering... are the restaurants assigned to you, or do you choose them in advance? How does it work?
Answer: You eat at a different restaurant every night. Your waiters and wait staff rotate with you - so you always have the same staff. If you want to eat in the Specialty restaurant on the top deck, you must make a reservation. If you have a suite, you can get priority seating.
We cruised with Disney before. Any questions feel free to contact me.
Question: Has anyone gone on vacation aboard the Disney Cruise Lines? I hope to go on them one day but everytime I picture myself on the boat, the movies "Ghost Ship," "Poseidon," and "Titanic" come to mind. I don't wanna die by some mechanical accident, or a rogue wave, or an ice berg! How can I have fun on the ship without any worries of trouble?
If you've been on the ships, what's the best part of the ship? Does everyone end up at Castaway Keys (the island at the end of the trip)?
...and more importantly how much will it cost!?
Answer: i bet you just saw the disney cruise thing on travel channel.there are no icebergs in florida and theirs a better chance of lightning striking you then dieng on one of those.florida water is warm so if you sink you will live and they have rafts.yes everyone ends up at castaway keys.the best part is seeing the big haunted ship thing from pirates of the carabean.
i just forgot how much it costs.sorry

Question: Vacation to Walt Disney World!!? Every year my friends, Family and I take a trip up to Lake George New York for a week but this year we wanted a change of pace and wanted to do something different.
So, we've thought about Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida!! My family & I went to Walt Disney World in the past and we have a video about different attractions & hotels but it is VERY outdated from 1997.
Does anyone know where I can find a more recent video about Disney World that gives information on different hotels, attractions Etc.??
and we are also thinking about the Disney Cruise line
does anyone know where I can find a video/information on that??
Answer: You are right that things have changed a lot since 1997. The new theme of 2009 is Celebrations, and a new video has just come out about it. It's is free, you can sign up to receive it here:
https://www.disneyvacations.com/dv/en_US...
The video is helpful and will tell you about the new theme & new attractions. For help finding the best hotel, you might try a guide book. Those will go into details about room size, proximity to parks, pricing, etc. whereas the videos will not. Try Birnbaums guide, I've found them to be pretty good. The 2009 is available:
http://www.amazon.com/Birnbaums-Walt-Dis...
The Disney Cruise line DVD can be watched online here:

Question: Disney Cruise Lines? My Hubby & I are going on vacation this summer(1st time ever) and are going on a Disney cruise. What do we have to take money for? Like what on the ship does the cost of the tickets NOT cover ? Restraunts on board, drinks? I need to know how much extra we need to take with us.
This is an old Pic but it is the best one we have togather, You cant even tell Im 8 months pregnant in it.
Answer: Disney ships are 100% cashless. All incidentals onboard are charged to your cabin. In addition, any purchases made at Castaway Cay (watersports, alcohol etc) are also charged to your cabin.
Disney ship's don't have casinos so you don't need money to gamble with onboard.
Things that you may need to have cash for:
Tips for baggage porters when you arrive at the port and depart from the port.
Any Purchases made off the ship (and not at Castaway Cay), or taxis hired..
Question: Planning vacation looking for information on Disney World....? Every year my friends, Family and I take a trip up to Lake George New York for a week but this year we wanted a change of pace and wanted to do something different.

Answer: I would check out the Walt Disney World website they have all kinds of information and videos. You can also call the customer service line and they will send you out a DVD with all the information you will need, you can also ask for a vacation planner and they will send all kinds of brochures and information along with your DVD. I would also call and speak with a rep about what you all are looking for and your price range, they can always find great package deals that include room, tickets, food and more for low prices. The thing I have learned is that in the long run the package deals do you cost you less.
Here is the link for the video page on the website:

Here is a link on the website where you can request your FREE DVD travel kit:

Here is the link to their vacation package page you might find it helpful.

Here is the link to their page in which you can contact customer service and request your travel guide. They also have phone numbers listed on this page.

Their website is very extensive you could spend all day on there, it list EVERYTHING and I mean everything you need to plan an awesome trip to the park. Another thing or two that I have learned is go early and stay late. The best time to ride the popular rides is during lunch time, dinner time, late in the evening and during a large show or the parade. You can usually get on pretty fast. Start from the back of the park and work your way forward, ride your favorite or must do rides as soon as you get there. If you stay on Disney grounds the park is open earlier and later for you so take advantage of that and plan around it! If you want to see the Characters try to do it doing the times above again less people and time you have to wait.
I have not done a cruise however I have friends who have been and just love it. Kids can do their thing and adults theirs. They had a great time and are planning on doing another. Her is the main website for the cruise line it has everything you need. On the very first page towards the bottom is where you click to request your DVD.

I love Disney been going there since I was a kid. I hope this helps you have a great trip!!!!
Question: Would you recommend a Disney cruise for two adults? My mom and I would like to take a cruise this winter. She is in her 40's and I am in my 20's. She really wants to take a Disney cruise because she believes it's safer (i guess disney cruises only take port on islands/resorts they own and run). I would rather go on another cruise line because I don't want to be surrounded by little children (don't get me wrong I love kids... but I want to be able to relax without much distraction on my vacation). If anyone has taken a disney cruise please give me some advice. Should we take a Disney cruise as two adults?
Answer: We went a few years ago as an adult couple only and really liked the Disney ship. I have been on over 10 other cruises on several lines (RCCL, NCL, Celebrity, Princess & Carnival) and I still fell like the Disney ship was the cleanest and best laid out ship of all. The food was the best out of all the others also! The upscale dining at Palo's was unbelievalble and much cheaper that the other cruise line's upscale resturants. Plus they don't bug you to by a lot of wine and mixed drinks.
An unknown fact is that the DCL ships offer a much more segregated experience between adults and kids that anyone else. You have your own (kid free) relaxation pool and deck which is unlike any other ship. Plus there are several night clubs that are adults only.
The private island it four times better than any other I've seen. Again they have and adults only beach/recreation/dinning area that is wonderful. Much quieter and more beautiful than any where else on your Non-Disney private islands. Exceptional!!
So I say, go and enjoy yourself, be a big kid and have fun where the kids are or go off to the adult areas and have a relaxing time in quiet areas like no other ship has.
Just as a helpful hint, I use my longtime Travel agent for better deals than you'll get from the cruise lines. Plus much better service and helpful hints than the big online agencies.

The entertainment is "toned down" and family friendly, but performed by a very high level of entertainers.
If you still have a little bit of "kid at heart" in you, you will enjoy this cruise greatly.
Bon Voyage!!
Question: What cruise line is best and cheapest to travel with a 3 year old? We have never gone on vacation with my 3 year old son and would love to go on a cruise. What cruise offers kid friendly activities while also being reasonable priced? Disney seems so expensive. We're looking at traveling the end of August 07 and it would be for 2 adults and 1 child for hopefully 5 nights. We live in Colorado but would fly to Florida, etc if we got a good deal on a cruise. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.
Answer: Carnival. I just went on a 5 night Carnival cruise. I flew to Florida and the cruise went to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. They have Camp Carnival for kids. I think they are reasonable priced.
