Answer: all cruise lines sell their cabins as double occupancy. SO you will have to either get someone to go with you, or pay the single supplement which is usually about double the price of a cabin. But if you want to go anyway and not pay a lot, book the lowest priced cabin on ship which will be an inside cabin (no window or porthole). Or get a friend, or relative to go and tell them you will pay a portion of their fare. There are some cruise web sites that advertise that they have singles cruises. But what they do is pare you up with another single person to share a cabin. That is not what I would want; to spend 4 to 7 days in a cabin with a person I hardly know. Answer: Provincetown, Ma or Key West, Fl. You should have no problem hooking up there.

Question: Have you ever gone on a cruise by yourself? I need a nice vacation ALONE and I was thinking about a cruise. NOT a singles cruise. What has been your experience?

Answer: you might want to do something else by yourself. I went on a cruise by myself after my divorce was final, and i had an OK time, meaning it wasn't awful, it was relaxing but in hind sight I would have done a 4 or 5 day cruise, because 7 days was too much to do alone I was bored and i wanted to call my sister or my best friend but I couldn't because it was 4.99 a min on the cell phone on the ship.

Answer: Cruises are great and there is always something to do, but if you are looking romance and you don't find it the first day, then you are stuck as a single. Single Destinations are great because most of the time they turn out to be multi-destinations. Example: Germany is geographicly ideal because you can travel to the sourounding countries and back in a matter of hours....and the scope for a romatic interlude is much larger. If you don't find it the first day you will the next.

Answer: Check out this website. They have a forum where someone might be able to tell you if any of these cruises offer what you are looking for. I have the feeling a lot of singles cruises will be one big party. I just came home from a regular cruise and I felt like the odd one out because I was not drinking. They should have places on the ship you will be able to get some peace and quiet when wanted. I cruised with Celebrity. They did hold a few special single nights on the ship. Question: Cruise for vacationing single? What is a good cruise to take for a single female in order to feel safe, yet not be bombarded with family activities? More on the lines of being peaceful, restful, and yet invigorating.

Answer: If you want to have a good time and party as a single, try Carnival. If you want to just relax and not really party it up but be more pampered, try Princess. As far as safe, they are all safe as you make them. If you want to take someone back to the room with you after a wild long night of drinking, there's no cruise line that can guarantee your safety. But if you want to keep to yourself and if someone bothers you that you feel uncomfortable with, they all have security people that will escort you when you feel uncomfortable being alone.

Question: i am looking to take a really cool vacation, i'm 35 single and would like to party and mingle, cruise or dest. I am traveling outside of America. Money isn't really an issue. I wanna have see sights meet women and, I'm torn between australia or the orient.....

Answer: Australia. If you want to party, i think you would have more fun there, and be more free to do what you want. They also speak English, which is a plus, and you don't need a guide!
