Honolulu Gas

Question: As of today 06-26-06, what is the average price for gas and cigarettes in Honolulu, Hawaii?

Answer: i went there last month, and the gas was around 3.50 and a pack of cigarettes from the local ABC store was around $4

Question: How long does it take to drive from Los Angeles to Honolulu? And what is the best route to take, as far as gas being readily avail, hotels,food, ect...

Answer: That is such a good question, eh? Ha Ha! YOU CANNOT POSSIBLY DRIVE FROM LOS ANGELES to HONOLULU!!!! But I'll definitely go with you if you can find an automobile or whatever that might FLOAT that far!

Question: How much is gas where you live? Here in Hawaii Honolulu its $6.20. How about you?

Answer: It is about $80.00 to $150 to fill up your whole tank. Just for a gallon its like $10.00. I usually fill my tank up half way!

Question: Job in Honolulu and the cost of living.? Im thinking of applying for a job in Honolulu, im from Minnesota and was wondering what the differences in the cost of living are going to be. The job pays about 3,700 dollars a month. Incase I got the job I dont wanna move out there and not be able to afford to live or ever retire cause all my money is going to gas and groceries. I looked at apartments and a 1 bedroom was going for avg 1,500 and the cheapest house i saw was 499,000. I just dont wanna make a mistake.

Answer: First of all you must realize that living in Hawaii is very expensive. Whatever Starbucks drink that cost you $4.50 on the mainland is going to cost you $9.00 in Hawaii, seriously. You should be able to live just fine on that type of salary you mentioned if you manage your money wisely.

Question: What's the average price of rent in Honolulu? I'm just curious. I'm a California resident so I'm just trying to compare states. Also, is gas, food, electric, water, etc. more expensive there than in California? Thank you and God bless! -MAD DOG * = Tell me about it. I live a few blocks away from the beach. Never mind then! Question: There has GOT to be a dollar store near Wahiawa? Anyone help me out with this one. I have searched the internet and the yellow pages online, I can't find any in the wahiawa or mililani area anywhere. Going all the way to Honolulu to the 99 cent store would defeat the purpose of tryna save money, with the amount of gas I'de use.

Answer: The Don Quiote (formerly Daiei stores) had dollar store sections in both the Pearl City and Waipahu stores. Also, its not a true dollar store, but you can check out Price Busters in Mililani Town Center.

Question: I want to buy a used car in Honolulu for 4-6k what is my best option? I want a car or small SUV ...? Parking and gas mileage are my main concerns. I was looking at Toyota 4runners, Suv, corollas.... What are some other options or years I should be looking at in the $4-6K range.. thanks

Answer: I'LL RECOMMEND SOME AMERICAN CARS. AS I KNOW, SATURN VUES ARE GOOD IN MILEAGE. AMERICAN CARS ARE GOOD PRICE??I HAVE NONE IDEA. SORRY.

Question: I'm moving to Honolulu, Hawaii in 1 year and...? i'm going to be a traveling physical therapist so my salary is going to be in 80k range with paid housing, good benefits, etc. I am from South Carolina and I have heard the cost of living is much higher there, in general do you think I will be okay with that salary? What is the price of gas there? Also are the native women there Asian, how is the nightlife? I'm planning on working my @ss off during the week and just surfing on with weekends and chasing @ss whenever possible.

Answer: That's good you have a year to move to Hawaii. Maybe you can work on your attitude so you won't end up like that poster that keeps calling white people Howie - just because Howie Mandell love Hawai'i and had done a lot of shows, doesn't make white people Howie. Okay, the point is that poster is just stupid, and you don't want to move to the island stupid. Don't base your perception on what Hollywood feeds you. You should always have respect for women - well, people at that. You will be making more than enough money to live comfortably there. However if you have a bad attitude, you won't enjoy yourself there. We are very hospitable people, and will treat you like family, but we don't tolerate bad manners from anyone even from our family. If I go to your house, and you were more than accommodating, would you tolerate the kind of attitude you have in your house. I assume you are an educated person - unlike the guy who keeps spelling HOWIE - grow up. It's okay to meet a lot of women, but you should be respectful, too. Calling women "a ss," I swear...

Question: Help me find a good air fare from Omaha to Honolulu please!? I must return home for the holidays :)! Departure must be after 12/20/2008 and arrive no later than 1/22/2008. I usually fly Northwest airlines. Thank you if you can find me a cheap ticket! Its over $1000 currently :(. Do you think if I wait, since gas prices are getting cheaper everyday, that the price of a ticket will go down? Or even just waiting at the airport and hoping they'll have extra space will help? Oops! I meant return no later than 1/12/2008

Answer: The best I could do was $832, departing 12/22 and returning 1/11-12. This is on US Airways with layovers in Phoenix. Otherwise, it's $880 on United, departing 12/22 and returning 1/8, 1/9, 1/10, etc.
