Question: How much does it cost to go to Heald College on Oahu? I am interested in attending Heald College on Oahu for the Electronics program they have. Has anyone gone through this program or knows about how much it would cost per semester or to graduate with an A.S. degree?
Answer: U know I was curious about the Heald College name because I did not recognize it for the State of Hawaii. In searching it claims to be private college but it's showing in Honolulu not Oahu?
But when I went to the google search... it takes me only to a website that wants your contact info only... as I read it claims to have campuses in many states. It makes lots of promises but very little detailed information. Beware of overpriced, flunky mail order education. When I used Ask.com search it provided 2nd link again... you can't find anything out without giving them lots of information about you. I would be very careful of your choice... something is wrong when they don't provide you with details of the school, campus, and basic admissions criteria. Tiny print says not all programs offered in each state... Too fishy, too many vague promises and looking at their Fin. Aid not much there...

Question: what is the best neighborhood to live in Oahu, Hawaii? I am thinking of moving to hawaii once I graduate from college and I was wondering what is the best, safest, nicest, and least expensive as possible neighborhood to live in Oahu, Hawaii
Answer: I was stationed on oahu and live in kaneohe bay and kailua. both were great. there was some crime but it is very dependant on what areas you live in. i would suggest a scouting trip, as it will only take a few hours and you'll be able to see either town very well. i lived there for 2.5 years and loved every minute of it and would recommend it to anyone.

Question: is it really that bad to go to college in hawaii? ok i was looking for questions about hawaii and found some on education. i had no idea that it was not good to go to college here. why is that? do the students not learn good or dont get taught well enough to get a good job once they graduate from UH? what is it? i want to finish quick since i started in TX but had to move to Oahu and now im not too sure if i should go here or not. but UH has a dept. of meteorology here which is what im studying.
Answer: UH from what I have heard is great. the people who want to party don't even make it through high school let alone college. everyone there is focused on learning as much as they need to be. the public schools are not that good if you are white because there is a lot of racial tension however the people who bring about this are not in UH it is nothing like the public schools. I went to public school there and didn't like the racial tension but loved the school in fact when I transferred to the mainland I realized the school was very good where I was (education wise) the test scores are higher in the mainland because the test in the mainland are easier. I didnt go to college there but form what I have heard there is NOTHING wrong with it. have fun in Hawaii and take up surfing if you havent already you will be glad you did it is a wonderful stress reliever
